Nicole Thompson, DMD, is a passionate doctor of dental medicine at Lovely Smiles Orthodontics in Richmond, Texas. She believes that everyone deserves access to top-quality orthodontic care in a warm and welcoming environment. Dr. Thompson takes great pride in serving the Richmond community. From the age of 12, Dr. Thompson knew that she wanted to become a dentist. Upon graduating from high school, she left the beautiful island of Barbados and moved to the United States to pursue her dreams. The first step on her journey was Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors. From there, she attended the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in Philadelphia where she received her degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine. She was inducted into the Matthew Cryer’s Honor’s Society of the Eta Sigma Honorary chapter. She received this award for being in the top ten of her class during the first two years of dental school. In her senior year, she was initiated into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. Upon graduation, Dr. Thompson attended Howard University in Washington D.C. where she received her certificate in Orthodontics. After graduating, she practiced in New York for 1 year. She then moved to Houston, Texas, where she has been practicing since 1999. After 24 years, Dr. Thompson still has a passion for practicing orthodontics. When you meet Dr. Thompson, she will greet you with a big smile. She takes pleasure in creating lovely smiles and straight teeth. Her greatest pleasure is watching the positive and personal transformations of her patient’s personalities throughout the treatment. Dr. Thompson enjoys taking continuing education classes to stay in touch with the most current advances and technologies in dentistry and orthodontincs. In turn, she will be able to share those advances with you. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), the Texas Association of Orthodontics, and the Southwestern Association of Orthodontics. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, dancing, listening to music, singing and of course Zumba.
